Thursday - complaint letter
Advised Reed that I am popping a complaint letter off to them, Steve Smith who caused the problem wanted to "talk" - I have worked out that by talk he means fire some platitudes and hope I do not carry through on threats.

Mid week - Wednesday - no a sign of Reed Accountancy.
I called yesterday and threatened to take legal action.
Within ten minutes I had a call back and all the excuses under the Sun. We are looking, we will do this, do that etc etc.
Then they said I should also try other agencies, which says to me that they really don't care either way.
As for today. No call back and I am not calling them.
Sadly the legal position is not worth it, as I was a temp I have no recourse to compensation the way I would had I been on a fixed contract.
All I can say is "Avoid Reed Accountancy and the Reed group as they care not a damn about lying, twisting the truth and leading customers on wild goose chases.

Reed Accountancy - Fail to return a call yet again.
In the name of all that is holy, it is rather hard to avoid swearing here but Reed Accountancy come close to driving me to it.
Yet again as promised they have failed to return a call, yes no real surprise I know by know based on the last couple of weeks of ongoing fiasco.
Still despite my requesting Steve to call myself back.
Still maybe when I call Reed Accountancy tomorrow and let them know that I am "live blogging" all their mistakes on the internet they might decide to buck their ideas up a bit?
That is all for this evening, I am more than a tad annoyed with Reed Accountancy.
First they cost me work, then they fail to provide me with a replacement job and now they lack even a basic level of civility!
Monday Morning - Reed Accountancy Sucks Update.
Called re interview on Thursday - now I had received a voicemail saying that I was unlucky and did not get the job on Friday, which is a minor plus for Reed Accountancy; however I will add that after that I had had heard nothing more re getting me a job.
So as part of my daily job hunting I called them at around 8.45AM to be told that the lady Sarah I had spoken to on Friday would call me back after 9.30.
Wait for it....
No call from her.
So I called back about noon and asked to speak to Steve. I was informed that he is "unavailable" but will be calling me back later today when he gets out of his meeting.
I look forward to his call later today....(update at 5.45PM)
Daily Updates
There will be a daily update on the excuses and suchlike, put forth from Reed Accountancy.
On Thursday last week I was offered one interview in Cardiff - total cost to me £4.60 return train ticket.
Plus of course the now one week plus of not earning a wage thanks to Reed Accountancy.
Looking for work Newport or Cardiff
Sadly I have been informed that thanks to my last employment being of a temp nature and also due to being let down by Reed Accountancy - I have no legal recourse to compensation as I would had I been a permanent employee.
The legal folk I spoke to advised that at best after a long fight I may get a week or twos cash out of Reed, which all considered is not worthy of my time or effort.
What is really galling is the complete lack of both empathy on the part of Reed Accountancy and the non returned calls, had I ever done that to a client I would have been out on my ear in doubel quick time!
I am currently now looking for work in either the Newport or Cardiff area.
Anything considered due to lack of funds, thanks to Reed Accountancy.

Reed Accountancy Sucks.
Hi there,
This is a short protest blog against a company called Reed Accountancy based in Cardiff.
Until the 14th Nov 2008 I was working on a long term temp contract for Tesco. I recieved a call from a member of staff(Steve) at Reed who confirmed that I had a new job with them starting the following Monday.
Based on this I handed my notice in with my employer and looked forward to the new job, that was going to be with the South Wales Argus.
However on the Friday, after I had popped in to say goodbye and left my temp contract with Tesco I recieved a call from Reed Accountancy to say that there was a "problem" with the contract and I would not be starting on Monday.
I also quickly found out that as my contract was winding down - I had work until the new year - that as people left they were not being replaced and so I could not get my old job back.
Somewhat upset I headed to the offices of Reed Accountancy to see what the problem was. I was then informed by a lady in the office, that I may be put into the contract in the next week and that I would be getting a call back from Steve that evening.
So wind the clock forward to about 6pm that evening and no call from Steve, he was the chap who had told me on the Tuesday that I had the job. I later was informed when I called on the following Monday that he had no recieved information about my calling until then.
So over a week later I find myself calling them, getting promised callbacks - most of which never happen, getting excuses of which I have to give them credit for being very good at - and must warn people not to touch Reed Accountancy with a proverbial barge pole.
